The regulatory framework
In France, flying a drone follows European Regulation (EU) 2019/947. Your training obligation depends on where you fly, the weight of the aircraft and your use. Here are the factual reference points.

Your questions
Anyone flying a drone over 800 g for professional use, or carrying out aerial photography, inspection, surveillance or mapping missions. Since January 2021, DGAC certification has been mandatory for professional uses.
Our complete training costs €1,290 (theory + practice). It is eligible for the CPF (CPF — French personal training account). We support you through the financing procedures. Payment in 3 interest-free instalments is also available.
The remote pilot certification is valid for 5 years. After that, a refresher is required. We offer continuing training and regulatory updates so you stay current.
Flights in built-up areas and near airports are subject to strict restrictions. Our training covers all regulated zones and the authorisation procedures with the DGAC and the préfectures.
